Saba

Inspiration

An intense and distinct beauty, that is the Saba chrysanthemum. The Saba spray chrysanthemum’s green centre and purple petals with their contrasting white outline render it both an eye-catching flower and a favourite among florists. A unique bicoloured and versatile chrysanthemum with a highly distinct pattern, which is also very hardy. While Saba is stunning on its own, thanks to its numerous blooms per stem, it is also suitable for many different kinds of flower arrangements. Whatever you choose to do with it, this purple chrysanthemum is guaranteed to shine.

Looking after chrysanthemums

We invariably endeavour to grow the best quality chrysanthemums. The healthier and stronger the flower, the longer its beauty can be enjoyed. It is also important that the flowers are well cared for of course, to gain the utmost benefit of the beauty that we as a chrysanthemum nursery offer.

What is comfortable to you, is also comfortable to the chrysanthemum.

• Let’s start with the classic golden rule. As you are perhaps aware: The stems of chrysanthemums should always be cut at an angle.
• Just as we humans can’t bear to stand the whole day in direct sunlight, nor can chrysanthemums. They therefore last longer in the shade.
• Similarly to ourselves, these purple chrysanthemums don’t like draughts. The flowers should therefore be placed in a draught-free spot with a constant temperature.
• Similarly to people, chrysanthemums like to drink fresh water. So, change the water regularly. Always ensure that you start with a clean vase. You may therefore want to rinse it once again, just to be sure. Next, fill the vase with clean lukewarm water.
• Last but not least. Make sure that there are no leaves hanging in the water. Bear in mind: Stems need to drink, leaves need to breathe.
